Secured Credit Cards
A secured credit card requires a cash collateral deposit that becomes the credit line for that account. For example, if you put $500 in the account; you can charge up to $500. You may be able to add to the deposit to add more credit, or sometimes a bank will reward you for good payment and add to your credit line without requesting additional deposits.

Interest on Credit Cards

If you are currently paying interest on credit or store cards, for example, then you need a credit card that offers 0% interest on balance transfers for up to 12 months. You can then transfer the debts from your other cards to your interest-free card, and aim to pay off the balance before the end of the interest-free period.
